Amy Mortimer

Amy has spent more than twenty years working with families and schools in the admission process. She understands how overwhelming it can feel, and she knows the questions families are often hesitant to ask.
As Director of Admission and later Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid, she guided thousands of families, from preschool through high school. She interviewed parents and students, worked with admission committees, coordinated assessments, and oversaw the financial assistance program. That experience on the school side gives her a helpful perspective to share. Her goal is simple: to help you understand how the process works and to support your family along the way, so you can focus on finding the right fit for your child.
Amy also partners with schools in a variety of ways. She coaches enrollment teams, conducts admission and family experience audits, helps redesign student assessments, supports admission committee training, and assists with outplacement. She especially enjoys working side by side with admission teams on the bigger projects that are difficult to address while managing the day-to-day work of admission.
She also leads Coffee and Conversation sessions for families at daycares, preschools, K–8 schools, and educational associations. These relaxed, 90-minute conversations cover topics ranging from what admission offices are really looking for to finding the right fit, understanding financial aid, and knowing which questions to ask along the way.
